We caught Paige G. of Huntington Beach, CA being awesome! Here’s what she said yesterday on Facebook…
Today at work, a woman called in an order, and during my conversation with her, she mentioned that it was her birthday. After I got off the phone with her I felt inspired to pay for her food for her.
When she arrived to pick it up she said, “How sad is it that I’m buying my own birthday dinner?”
And I had the joy of telling her, “Actually, your dinner has already been taken care of tonight! Take the money you would have spent tonight and go buy yourself something! Happy birthday!”
I could tell she was so surprised and that it made her night…and that made my heart happy!
When I read this I was so touched. Trust me, I’ve been there, alone on my birthday, and know that this probably meant so much to the birthday lady and changed how she views the world.
Thanks, Paige, for being so kind to a total stranger. You’re awesome!
I hope Paige is following us for two reasons: 1. That would be awesome; and 2. So knows that we think her act of kindness was totally awesome. Really great Paige!
